Therapeutic Behavioral Support (TBS) Specialist

Location: Community-Based (Serving Guernsey, Muskingum, Belmont, and surrounding counties)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Health Solutions is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Therapeutic Behavioral Support (TBS) Specialists to join our team.

This is not an office-based position. TBS Specialists provide services in clients’ homes, schools, and other community settings, helping children, adolescents, and families develop the skills needed to improve emotional, behavioral, and social functioning.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one therapeutic behavioral support services in homes, schools, and community settings.
  • Implement interventions identified in the client’s treatment plan.
  • Teach coping skills, emotional regulation, communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and social skills.
  • Assist clients in developing positive behaviors and reducing behaviors that interfere with daily functioning.
  • Support parents and caregivers by reinforcing therapeutic strategies and behavioral interventions.
  • Collaborate with therapists, case managers, schools, physicians, and other treatment team members.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete electronic documentation in accordance with agency and payer requirements.
  • Complete required documentation within established timeframes.
  • Participate in supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA, agency, and state regulations.
  • Report safety concerns and mandatory reporting situations in accordance with agency policy.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, Education, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred.
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license.
  • Reliable transportation with proof of insurance.
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining regular communication with supervisors and treatment team members.
  • Ability to pass all required background checks and meet agency hiring requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
  • Experience in behavioral health, social services, education, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and behavioral interventions.
  • Experience working in community-based services.

Schedule

  • Full-time
  • Flexible scheduling based on client needs
  • Some evening appointments may be required
