Responsibilities
- Develop clinical competencies within the organization based on accreditation standards, policies and departmental needs.
- Work with Nursing Management and Nursing Education team to coordinate and implement annual skills day and continued education for clinical staff.
- May support and/or teach at department orientation and hospital orientation.
- Serve as an administrator for the learning management system.
- Work with inpatient and outpatient nursing staff, training for standard oncology practices.
- Co‑facilitate Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy course biannually.
- Co‑facilitate the Oncology Certification Prep course.
- Maintain competency in all inpatient and outpatient chemotherapy infusion processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing with one (1) year of experience in clinical education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior oncology experience required.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado.
- OCN preferred.
Compensation
- $40.00 – $46.00 per hour, depending on education and experience.
