Position: Travel Occupational Therapist – $2,416 per week

Certification Details
- Plan, evaluate, organize and implement Occupational Therapy (OT) treatment programs for patients ages 0 – adulthood.
- Complete patient evaluations and reassessments per hospital and department guidelines.
- Develop individualized plan of care based on evaluation/reassessment findings.
- Collaborate with patient and family to develop measurable long and short term goals.
- Perform patient care within scope of training and responsibilities.
- Demonstrate advanced clinical competencies in specialty area.
- Manage schedule to maintain productivity per departmental guidelines.
- Participate in communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary care team.
- Coordinate treatment plan with all parties involved in patient care.
- Monitor patient response to treatment intervention.
- Recommend appropriate adaptive equipment and termination of treatment when appropriate.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, therapy manager, staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Tasks require conscious application of clinical rules and principles, focused and methodical approach.
- Position is for occupational therapist in outpatient clinic with some remote access for notes.
- Covering multiple FMLs with flexible work days/hours, likely 10 or 12 hour shifts Monday to Friday.
- Position located in The Woodlands outpatient building.
- Active OT license in Texas required.
- Pediatric experience in outpatient setting preferred.
Job Details
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Texas required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
- 2 years pediatric, women’s health, orthopedics, or sports medicine clinical experience OR 1 year residency in these areas required.
- Knowledge of rehabilitative care for acute and chronic conditions and development from neonate to adulthood.
- Demonstrated professional competencies with at least 2 years pediatric or sports medicine experience.
- Clinical advancement candidates must have been rated ‘exceptional’ or ‘consistently exceptional’ on previous performance appraisal.
- Must be articulate, courteous, supportive, and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to independently treat patients by developing and following established therapy plan of care.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to utilize basic office equipment such as fax, copier, and PC.
Job Requirements
- Likely 10 or 12 hour shifts, Monday through Friday.
- 36 hours per week.
- 12 hours per day.
Schedule Information
- Outpatient clinic setting.
- Pediatric outpatient experience preferred.
