Schedule
2 nights out possibly 3 and local routes
Monday – Friday; no weekends
Typically 40+ hour weeks
Pay
Pay starting at .59/per mile based on driving experience and skills, with the possibility for growth
Job Description
- Safely drive trucks to customers or vendor and meet scheduled customer delivery and/or pickup times
- Unload products from the trailer with the use of a pallet jack, or by hand
- Pick up purchase orders from various vendors
- Confirm delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
- Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
- Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections
- Conform to all OSHA and DOT regulations as well as company policies
- Immediately report all safety hazards
- Complete daily logs, records, and all necessary paperwork
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 – 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift
- Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- Clean driving record
- Must pass physical and drug tests as required by DOT regulations
- Minimum of one year commercial driving experience
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Must be able to read and communicate in the English language
