Title: Vice President, Federal and Commercial Contracts

This leader will drive pricing, negotiation, and execution of federal contracts while ensuring full compliance with AbilityOne regulations.

You’ll lead and grow federal and commercial contracts portfolio, serve as a primary liaison to SourceAmerica and key partners, and champion a mission focused on expanding employment opportunities for individuals with differing abilities.

💰 Financial & Contract Strategy

  • Lead contract negotiations and pricing for new + existing work
  • Build and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost structures
  • Partner with procurement to ensure compliant purchasing practices

✅ Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to AbilityOne and federal regulations
  • Lead audit readiness and regulatory inspections
  • Monitor policy changes and proactively adjust strategy
  • Partner closely with People & Culture on workforce compliance

🏗 Contracts & Operations Leadership

  • Oversee performance across all federal and commercial contract sites
  • Ensure strong quality control and operational excellence
  • Lead, coach, and develop the contracts management team
  • Evaluate subcontractors and external partners

🤝 Stakeholder & Growth Leadership

  • Act as key liaison to SourceAmerica, contracting officers, and stakeholders
  • Identify and pursue new business and contract opportunities
  • Represent the organization at industry events and conferences

Leadership Scope

This role directly oversees:

  • Sr. Director of Contracts
  • Quality Assurance Manager
  • Project Manager
  • Area Manager (Retail Custodial Operations)

What Success Looks Like🔑 Required Experience

  • 10+ years in contract management (5+ years in senior leadership)
  • Deep expertise in federal contracting and compliance
  • Strong financial acumen (pricing, budgets, cost analysis)
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive, mission-driven work

➕ Preferred

  • Experience with large, distributed teams
  • Background in AbilityOne or disability workforce programs
  • Knowledge of facilities, janitorial, or maintenance services
