I. Position Overview

The Vice President of Jewelry Supplier Management is responsible for the strategic planning and operational management of the company's global supplier ecosystem, encompassing raw materials (precious metals, gemstones), finished goods, and manufacturing partners. This role ensures supply chain stability, cost competitiveness, quality standards, and regulatory compliance; it serves as a pivotal management link connecting procurement, production, and the external supply ecosystem, typically reporting to the Chief Supply Chain Officer or Chief Operating Officer.

II. Core Responsibilities

Supplier Strategy & System Development

Formulate a global supplier management strategy; establish and continuously refine mechanisms for supplier onboarding, evaluation, classification, and de-selection.

Supplier Development & Resource Integration

Develop a portfolio of high-quality jewelry suppliers, including gemstone vendors, precious metal suppliers, OEM/ODM factories, and artisanal workshops.

Cost & Negotiation Management

Lead negotiations with key suppliers; optimize procurement cost structures to enhance gross margins and cost transparency.

Quality & Craftsmanship Control

Establish and oversee the supplier quality management system, ensuring products adhere to high-end jewelry standards and craftsmanship requirements.

Supply Risk Management

Identify and mitigate supply chain risks (e.g., price volatility, delivery delays, geopolitical risks); develop contingency plans and alternative solutions.

Compliance & Sustainability

Ensure supplier compliance with industry regulations (e.g., responsible sourcing, environmental standards, labor practices); drive the development of a sustainable supply chain.

Delivery & Performance Management

Monitor supplier lead times, on-time delivery rates, and service levels; establish a KPI framework and conduct periodic performance evaluations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate closely with Design, Production, Procurement, Finance, and Logistics teams to ensure alignment between supply chain operations and product development.

Digitalization & Process Optimization

Drive the implementation and enhancement of Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) systems to achieve data-driven operations, transparency, and efficiency gains.

III. Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.

20+ years of experience in supply chain or procurement within the jewelry or luxury goods industry, including 10+ years in an executive leadership role.

In-depth knowledge of the procurement and market dynamics for jewelry raw materials (e.g., diamonds, colored gemstones, gold, etc.).

Established global network of suppliers and extensive experience in commercial negotiations.

Familiarity with supply chain risk management and cost optimization strategies.

Exceptional leadership capabilities and cross-cultural communication skills.

Fluent in English (proficiency in other languages ​​is a plus).
