Job Overview
The Vice President of Product Management is the senior leader responsible for defining and executing the company’s product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management. This role ensures that products are aligned with market demand, customer needs, and business objectives, driving innovation, competitive differentiation, and revenue growth.
The VP of Product Management serves as a key bridge between market opportunities and product execution, translating strategic vision into high-impact product outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
I. Product Strategy Formulation and Execution
Develop and implement the company’s overall product strategy and roadmap aligned with corporate objectives.
Collaborate with executive leadership to define product vision, innovation priorities, and growth strategies.
Ensure product initiatives align with market trends, customer insights, and competitive positioning.
II. Product Lifecycle Management
Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management from ideation, development, launch, to continuous optimization.
Establish product development frameworks, prioritization processes, and governance models.
Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products that meet business and customer expectations.
III. Market and Customer Insight Analysis
Conduct market research, user analysis, and competitive benchmarking.
Translate customer needs and market opportunities into product requirements and value propositions.
Continuously gather feedback to improve product performance and user experience.
IV. Product Performance and Business Analysis
Define and monitor key product metrics (e.g., adoption rate, retention, revenue contribution, NPS).
Establish data-driven decision-making processes for product optimization.
Evaluate product portfolio performance and drive improvement or rationalization decisions.
V. Cross-departmental Collaboration and Execution
Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure product success.
Drive alignment between product development and go-to-market strategies.
Support product launches and ensure effective market adoption.
VI. Team Leadership and Organizational Development
Build and lead a high-performing product management team.
Develop talent pipelines and establish best practices in product management.
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer-centric thinking.
Qualifications
Education Background
Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields
MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
Work Experience
Typically 18+ years of experience in product management or related fields, including 8+ years in senior leadership roles
Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling products
Strong experience in cross-functional collaboration and product lifecycle management
Experience in multinational companies or high-growth environments preferred
