Warehouse labor including forklift operation and skid steer operation.. pay starting at 18/ hr
Duties
- Assist with the loading, unloading, and transportation of raw materials and finished products within the plant using forklifts and other equipment.
- Support the operation of machinery involved in peat processing, including basic mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the plant to ensure compliance with safety regulation.
- Monitor production lines for quality assurance, ensuring products meet established quality standards in production and food safety management.
- Follow safety standards in production by wearing appropriate PPE, adhering to safety procedures, and reporting hazards promptly.
- Assist with packaging operations, including preparing materials for shipment and ensuring proper labeling according to regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge related to plant machinery operation and basic troubleshooting is advantageous.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory and quality control purposes.
- experience operating forklifts safely within a manufacturing setting is desirable.
- Strong understanding of safety standards in production, sanitation practices, and managing production or assembly teams if applicable.
- Excellent communication skills for managerial communication and teamwork within a fast-paced environment.
