Warehouse Supervisor
The Warren Trask Company, a respected building materials wholesaler located in Lakeville, MA, is looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to help oversee daily warehouse and yard operations.
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday.
The ideal candidate will have prior warehouse, lumber, building materials, or distribution experience and must be comfortable leading employees in a fast-paced work environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervising warehouse and yard employees throughout the day
- Making sure customer orders are pulled accurately and completed on time
- Assisting with picking orders, loading trucks, and unloading material when needed
- Keeping the warehouse, yard, and work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Monitoring employee productivity, attendance, and work quality
- Helping train employees on proper procedures and safe work practices
- Ensuring employees follow company policies and safety guidelines
- Operating a forklift when needed
- Communicating with management about staffing, order issues, equipment problems, safety concerns, and daily workflow
- Assisting with general warehouse and yard maintenance as needed
Requirements:
- Prior warehouse, yard, or distribution experience is required
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience is strongly preferred
- Experience with lumber, engineered wood, or building materials is preferred
- Forklift experience is preferred
- Must be reliable, organized, and able to lead by example
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift over 50 pounds
- Must have strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Must be safety-conscious and willing to hold employees accountable
