Position Summary
Destiny’s Group Home, Inc. is seeking two experienced Residential Coordinators to provide weekend operational oversight of our residential programs. This position serves as the primary weekend leadership contact for assigned residential homes, ensuring continuity of care, regulatory compliance, staffing support, and operational accountability.
The Weekend Residential Coordinator will provide on-call oversight, support Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and House Managers, address emergent concerns, monitor program operations, and ensure completion of all required weekend compliance activities.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide weekend operational oversight for assigned residential programs.
- Serve as the primary weekend point of contact for staff, management, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor and respond to staffing concerns, call-outs, emergencies, and operational issues.
- Ensure adequate staffing coverage is maintained throughout assigned shifts.
- Conduct routine communication with residential units to assess program needs and provide support.
- Review and verify completion of the Weekend Compliance Tracker.
- Ensure documentation, incident reporting, and required records are completed accurately and timely.
- Coordinate with nursing staff, management, and other departments as necessary.
- Escalate significant incidents, health and safety concerns, staffing shortages, or compliance issues to leadership.
- Assist with maintaining compliance with DDA, COMAR, OHCQ, and agency policies and procedures.
- Support quality assurance efforts and follow-up on identified concerns.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to residential staff during assigned shifts.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in residential services, developmental disabilities services, healthcare, or a related field.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations.
- Proficiency with electronic documentation and reporting systems.
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to successfully pass all required background checks.
Preferred Experience
- Maryland DDA residential services experience.
- Experience supervising Direct Support Professionals.
- Knowledge of COMAR, DDA, and OHCQ regulations.
- Experience managing staffing and compliance requirements in a residential setting.
