Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Chief Engineer to lead and oversee the maintenance and operational excellence of facilities within a designated region. This pivotal role combines strategic management with hands-on technical expertise to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability across multiple sites. As the driving force behind facilities management, you will coordinate maintenance activities, supervise engineering teams, and implement innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency. Your leadership will directly impact the safety, functionality, and sustainability of our manufacturing or industrial environments.
Duties
- Lead and supervise maintenance teams across multiple facilities, ensuring high standards of safety, efficiency, and quality.
- Develop and execute comprehensive maintenance management plans, including preventive, predictive, and corrective strategies.
- Oversee the operation and troubleshooting of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical systems (low and high voltage), HVAC systems, and mechanical equipment.
- Review electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams, and system schematics to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective repairs.
- Coordinate industrial maintenance projects from planning through execution, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
- Monitor facilities’ compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and diagnostics to ensure system integrity.
- Lead emergency response efforts related to electrical failures or mechanical breakdowns, minimizing downtime.
- Foster leadership within your team through training, supervision, and performance evaluations to cultivate a motivated workforce.
Requirements
- Proven management experience in facilities or industrial maintenance environments with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong mechanical knowledge coupled with expertise in electrical systems—both low voltage and high voltage—within manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics interpretation for troubleshooting complex systems.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, facilities management principles, and environmental health & safety standards.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective team leadership and stakeholder collaboration.
- Supervising experience that emphasizes leadership development and team motivation.

Pay: $48,025.14 – $57,836.72 per year
