AMADA’s Caregivers provide:

  • Care to our clients at a professional level
  • Companionship and conversation
  • Assistance to seniors to help with their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and toileting
  • Light housekeeping / laundry / meal prep
  • Transportation
  • Medication reminders


AMADA’s ideal caregiver will have:

  • A true passion for caregiving and a desire to help others
  • Pride in providing excellent client care and customer service
  • Empathy, patience, and a compassionate nature
  • Ability to work independently and follow care plans
  • Willingness to provide and accept constructive feedback
  • Proven experience as a caregiver, preferably with seniors
  • Clear background check and references
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and proof of insurance
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or complete within first 30 days of employment)
  • Active HCA (Home Care Aide) registration
  • Recent TB test result (within the last 24 months)
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification

Note: HCA registration, TB test results, and CPR/First Aid certification can be obtained or submitted after hire but must be completed before the caregiver’s first scheduled shift.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and transfer clients safely
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Stamina to stand, sit, and engage in physical activities for extended periods
  • Visual and auditory acuity to monitor clients’ well-being
  • Non-Medical Care (Toileting, Bathing, Dressing, Ambulation, Transportation, Meal Prep, Hands-On Feeding, Companionship, Transferring, Lifting, and more)


Working Hours:

  • Working hours may vary based on the needs of the client. This role may include evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays as required.
