Responsibilities
- Perform calibration procedures on a wide range of measurement devices, including gauges, sensors, and testing instruments, following established protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of calibration activities, including adjustments made and calibration results, ensuring traceability and compliance with industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment to identify calibration discrepancies or malfunctions.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to schedule calibrations and ensure minimal downtime of essential tools.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on calibration equipment to guarantee accuracy and reliability.
- Follow safety procedures diligently during calibration processes to protect yourself and colleagues from hazards.
- Assist in developing and updating calibration procedures, work instructions, and documentation for compliance purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Calibration Technician or in a similar technical role involving measurement instruments.
- Strong understanding of calibration standards, measurement techniques, and industry regulations such as ISO or ASTM standards.
- Proficiency with calibration software, test equipment, and data analysis tools.
- Excellent attention to detail with a meticulous approach to documentation and recordkeeping.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and calibration procedures accurately.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and convey technical information clearly.
- A proactive attitude with the motivation to learn new calibration methods and stay updated on industry best practices.
