Chemical Delivery Driver Jobs in Oklahoma City, OK at Chappell Supply & Equipment
The Warehouse/Chemicals & Deliveries Tech will mix, package, and label an assortment of chemicals both hazardous and non-hazardous to be used for industrial cleaning equipment and provides support in the warehouse as needed. This position will also require the employee to deliver various equipment, hoses as well as chemicals to customers inter-state and intra-state. This is considered a safety sensitive position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain CDL-A and all other required training.
- Receive orders to be shipped.
- Handle customer feedback while showing a positive attitude.
- Package and ship merchandise to the designated location Mix assorted chemicals for use.
- Maintain First in First Out (FIFO) product rotation
- Handle customer feedback while showing a positive attitude.
- Assist with maintaining necessary chemical inventory levels.
- Make deliveries inter-state and intra state.
- Interact with the public.
- Maintain procedures and processes to ensure compliance with Company’s quality standards.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- Customer oriented.
- Must be able to pass a pulmonary fit test (respirator) immediately.
- Have or be able to obtain the following within a year.
- Hazmat certified.
- Clean driving record
- DOT HAZWOPER trained.
- Have a CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsement.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to compose letters, outlines, memoranda, and basic reports and/or to orally communicate technical information.
- Read computer monitors and be able to detect specific noises, proper equipment operation and understand what others are saying.
- Able to multi-task, prioritize and be detail oriented.
- Ascending or descending ladders to move merchandise.
- Capable of working in a warehouse that does not have heat or air conditioning.
- stand and move about regularly.
- Move parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Use upper extremities to frequently press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or upward.
- Be able to use upper extremities to frequently exert force to draw, drag, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motion.
- Frequently bend body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and record, balance, and check results for accuracy.
- Stay on task with minimal supervision.
- Shift M-F 8am-5pm occasional Saturday work 8am-12pm.
