Job Summary
The Chinese Translator supports the training and communication needs of the production team by providing accurate English–Chinese translation and interpretation. This role ensures that all production line operators clearly understand safety procedures, work instructions, quality standards, and company policies during onboarding and daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate verbal and written communication between English and Chinese during operator training sessions, safety meetings, and production briefings.
- Interpret instructions from supervisors, engineers, and trainers to ensure full understanding by Chinese-speaking employees.
- Assist with translation of training materials, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and equipment instructions.
- Support HR and Production teams in communicating policies, performance feedback, and shift updates.
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity in all interactions.
- Help identify and clarify misunderstandings that could affect safety, quality, or productivity.
Qualifications
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English (verbal and written).
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to translate technical and operational terms accurately.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working on the production floor.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
