As a Direct Care staff member, you work directly with individuals that are in need of your assistance. Are you are a caring and honest person? Then this is a good job for you. We encourage you to complete this application and assessments.
Experience is preferred but not required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(Include but are not limited to):
* Provide assistance with personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, feeding, and bathing.
* Monitor residents for signs and symptoms of illness, health and safety.
* Assist with medical care, including proper administration of medications, monitoring vital signs, assisting with appointments.
* Know and follow emergency procedures in home.
* Provide meals in compliance with the home menu plan or as otherwise directed.
* Perform care tasks as assigned, such as basic cleaning, laundry, and preparing meals.
* Assist residents with recreational activities and programs.
* Evaluate and monitor residents needs, health, safety and daily activities.
* Observe and learn residents likes and dislikes.
* Properly document residents daily activities.
* Communicate important details, occurring during your shift, to incoming staff and management.
* Assist in maintaining appropriate staffing including covering shifts and/or overtime.
* Be involved in implementing care plans.
* Complete all duties as assigned by the supervisor.
