Position Overview: As an eCommerce Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of customer orders, maintaining inventory integrity, and contributing to the overall success of our eCommerce operations.
Job Duties & Functions
- Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damages, verify accuracy of products, and record received items in the inventory management system.
- Accurately pick products from shelves or bins based on order requirements and ensure they are appropriately packed for shipment.
- Perform quality checks on products, addressing any defects, damages, or discrepancies before packing.
- Prepare orders for shipping, including labeling, weighing, and arranging for courier or delivery services.
- Restock inventory as needed to ensure sufficient product availability for order fulfillment.
- Utilize inventory management software to update and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to warehouse cleanliness and safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline warehouse processes and ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Assist in periodic inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Follow established procedures and guidelines for maintaining security and confidentiality of customer orders and sensitive information.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to accurately and efficiently pick products from shelves or bins based on order requirements.
- Skill in packing products securely and appropriately to prevent damage during transit.
- Ability to carefully inspect products for defects and discrepancies, ensuring accurate order fulfillment.
- Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, standing, and moving heavy items.
- Skilled in prioritizing tasks to meet order deadlines and maintain efficient workflow.
- Effective communication with team members, supervisors, and potentially with customer service for order-related inquiries.
- Skilled at collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth warehouse operations and assist when needed.
- Proficiency in identifying and resolving minor issues that may arise during order fulfillment or warehouse activities.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Ability to understand the impact of accurate order fulfillment on customer satisfaction and strive to meet or exceed expectations.
- Knowledge of inventory tracking systems, stock rotation, and proper storage practices.
Work Environment and Time Requirements:
- Indoor office and warehouse environment; some noise and variation in temperature may characterize work environment, including exposure to cold temperatures in the winter and hot temperatures in the summer.
- 8-hour workday; variations in work volume sometimes require extended working hours.
- Ability to lift and/or lower 40 pounds to height of 5 feet.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (4-5 hours at one time).
Educational and/or Work Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment.
- Minimum of a High School diploma
- Experience in or knowledge of music and entertainment industry, artist merchandising a plus.
- Knowledge of shipping methods such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc a plus.
- Knowledge of Shopify, Shipstation, Netsuite a plus
- Desire to grow within the company a plus.
