LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION CREW MEMBER

Crew Lead Responsibilities:

Must have 5 years of experience, preferably running a 3-man crew.
Work with the Superintendent to plan each day and week.
Meet goals for labor hours and track crew time.
Always confirm you have the correct, most recent plan, with revisions before beginning work.
Drive company vehicle and pull trailer

Crew Lead Skills:

Make sure trenches are at the correct depth and in the right location.
Make sure grade is right and properly compacted.
Make sure plants are the right size and type; reject plants that do not meet company standards.
Make sure irrigation is installed and programmed the right way; confirm it works and all emitters receive water. In the summer, all plants need to be installed in the ground on drip irrigation, or stored safely and on drip irrigation.
Make sure plants are installed properly and irrigated.
Make sure drip lines are spaced properly around the plants root ball.
Make sure steel edging is straight and properly anchored into the ground
Make sure lighting controller is installed and programed; confirm it works
Make sure lights are installed at grade and spaced consistently away from plants and borders per plan, and aimed correctly.

Full-time position.

Must have a valid AZ driver’s license, be capable of working outdoors throughout the year, and have reliable transportation.

$17 to $23 per hour depending on experience. Health insurance available.
