The hourly rate for this role is $18.75 USD per hour – part-time, non-exempt position.

The Opportunity
Century City is where we plant our flag in US soil. Our Sales Associate is the heartbeat of our store. Every great customer experience starts with you. As a Part-Time Sales Associate, you’ll play a hands-on role in bringing our first menswear store in one of LA’s premier retail precincts to life.

Industrie Clothing was founded in 1999 and is an institution in Australian men’s fashion. We are known for modern, practical and instinctively masculine clothing crafted with premium fabrics and clean, wearable and considered designs made to last.
With over 120 stores across Australia and a solid online presence, we are ready to introduce the brand to the US market.
Opening our first US retail store in Century City is a deliberate choice. It is a world class shopping centre that attracts the kind of customer who is quality and value-conscious, discerning and invested in how they present themselves. We know Industrie will resonate here, we just need the right person and team behind them to bring this to life.
Responsibilities:
As a Part-Time Sales Associate, you’ll play a key role in delivering the day-to-day success of the store. This includes supporting your team, driving sales and bringing the brand to life on the floor.
Salesfloor & Customer Experience
- Initiate genuine conversations, keep every customer engaged throughout their visit and build strong customer connections
- Use effective selling techniques to drive sales and meet individual and store targets
- Stay up to date with product knowledge, key styles and promotions
- Initiate genuine conversations with every customer, ensuring to show a second or third piece as part of the service, not as a routine upsell
- Begin capturing client information from Day 1 (such as name, contact, purchase preferences) to support outreach and repeat visits
- Follow up with customers after purchases for new arrivals, events, or relevant product drops
- Own the fitting room experience — attend every room, offer alternatives and drive add-on in the moment of intent
- Complete POS transactions accurately and in compliance with company policy
Stock Processing & Store Presentation
- Assist in receiving and processing stock deliveries — counting, quality checking, tagging, and folding
- Replenish the sales floor from stockroom stock throughout the shift — keep the floor full and well presented
- Keep the stockroom tidy and organised during and after processing
- Return stock from fitting rooms to the floor promptly and correctly
- Process returns and exchanges and return items to their correct location on the floor or in stock
- Complete cycle counts and stocktakes tasks as directed
- Report any stock discrepancies, damaged items, or security concerns to your manager immediately
- Ensure all items going to the floor are correctly ticketed and security-tagged

Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous retail or customer-facing experience preferred — but we will consider candidates with genuine enthusiasm and the right attitude
- A genuine interest in menswear, fashion, or style — you do not need to be an expert on day one, but you need to want to become one
- Strong interpersonal skills — you enjoy talking to people and putting them at ease
- Reliable and punctual — your team counts on you to show up ready
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and handling physical stock tasks
- Flexible availability including weekends, late nights and peak trading periods

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and move throughout the store for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs
- Ability to bend, reach, climb ladders and perform stockroom tasks
What we offer:
- Hourly rate of $18.75 USD per hour depending on experience and qualifications – Non-Exempt

We want to be upfront with you. This is our first store in the US, and building a customer base in a new market takes time. In the early months, you’ll be hands-on across all areas of the store; from selling on the floor to supporting stock and day-to-day operations.
