Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Prepress Operator to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing digital files to ensure high-quality production runs across various printing projects. Your expertise will help streamline the prepress process, ensuring that designs are accurately translated into finished products. Key Responsibilities
- Review and preflight incoming artwork for accuracy, completeness, and print readiness
- Prepare files for multiple print processes including digital and offset
- Perform color correction, trapping, imposition, and proofing
- Communicate directly with internal teams and clients to resolve file issues
- Ensure consistency with brand standards, specifications, and print requirements
- Manage file workflows, version control, and archiving
- Operate Kodak Prinergy software and maintain prepress equipment as needed
- Meet tight deadlines while maintaining high quality standards
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in prepress or print production
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat)
- Experience with preflight and workflow tools (e.g., Enfocus PitStop, Kodak Prinergy, EFI Fiery, or similar)
- Solid understanding of color management, ICC profiles, and print processes
- Experience with imposition software is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
Preferred Experience
- Background in commercial print, packaging, or wide-format production
- Familiarity with variable data printing workflows
- Knowledge of PDF/X standards and file optimization
Pay: $45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
