Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and efficiency
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring a positive dining experience
- Maintain sanitation standards by properly handling food, clearing tables, bussing, and assisting with food preparation when needed
- Use OpenTable or similar reservation systems to manage bookings efficiently during busy hours
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightclub settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and accurate bill processing
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience in a fast-paced environment is advantageous
