Position Summary
Poseidon Yacht Solutions is seeking an experienced Marine Electrical Technician to diagnose, install, and repair marine electrical, electronic, and automation systems aboard powerboats, yachts, and catamarans.
This is a mobile service position. Technicians travel daily to customer vessels located at marinas, boatyards, private residences, and yacht facilities throughout South Florida.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with AC and DC electrical systems, generators, battery charging systems, air conditioning systems, marine electronics, vessel automation, and advanced troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair marine AC and DC electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
- Install and service battery chargers, inverters, batteries, and electrical panels.
- Diagnose and repair generators and generator control systems.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot marine electronics and navigation equipment.
- Diagnose and repair vessel automation and integrated control systems.
- Install and service shore power systems.
- Diagnose and repair air conditioning and HVAC electrical systems.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
- Perform system testing and sea trials.
- Complete service reports and documentation accurately.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to management and customers.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of marine electrical experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of marine AC and DC electrical systems.
- Experience with generators, battery systems, chargers, and inverters.
- Experience troubleshooting vessel automation and electrical control systems.
- Experience with marine air conditioning systems is preferred.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must be comfortable traveling between multiple service locations throughout the day.
- Ability to work independently in a mobile service environment.
- Experience working at marinas, boatyards, and onboard vessels preferred.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various marine environments.

Compensation is based on experience, certifications, and skill level.
