McLean Independent School District is seeking a visionary, student-centered leader to serve as Superintendent of Schools. The Superintendent serves as the chief executive officer of the district and works collaboratively with the Board of Trustees, staff, students, parents, and community members to lead all district operations and educational programs.McLean ISD is a close-knit rural district serving approximately 170 students in the Texas Panhandle. The district values strong relationships, high expectations, community involvement, and a commitment to student success.Primary Responsibilities: Provide leadership for all district educational and operational programsWork collaboratively with the Board of Trustees to establish district goals and prioritiesPromote academic excellence and student achievementMaintain a positive and supportive district cultureOversee district budgeting, finance, and resource managementEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal requirementsSupport recruitment, development, and retention of high-quality staffBuild positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and community stakeholdersCommunicate effectively with all stakeholder groupsSupport safe and effective school operationsLead long-range planning and continuous improvement effortsThe ideal candidate should demonstrate: Strong leadership and organizational skillsIntegrity, transparency, and professionalismEffective communication and community engagementStudent-centered decision makingAbility to build trust and positive relationshipsKnowledge of budgeting, school finance, and district operationsCommitment to staff development and instructional improvementStrategic planning and problem-solving abilitiesPreferred experience includes: Construction managementVATRE and/or bond election planningTeacher Incentive Allotment (TIA)
